John Wilton, Day Shift Supervisor, has recently been awarded the company’s quarterly employee achievement award. This accolade is given to those employees who best represent the company’s core values, Innovative, Exceptional and Responsive.
John has worked at MSX for 15 years, his main responsibilities are to supervise and delegate tasks to the warehouse operatives. This includes overseeing his colleagues in the efficient and safe receipt, storage and loading of high value goods in keeping with HM Customs & Excise Regulations.
John also supervises thorough checking of all goods going in and out of the warehouse to ensure a high level of accuracy. He is also in charge of employee’s health and safety issues and has to be aware of potential hazards and implement appropriate risk assessments.
As well as, ensuring that premises are clean, efficient and secure at all times and that goods are dispatched to agreed timescales.
John won the employee achievement award:
Innovative - for his H&S suggestions, his direct cage area, weekly rack inspection and organising the return of CHEP plts.
Exceptional - for his growth and commitment to the business and his positive and mature outlook.
Responsive - he is always fully supportive of weekend Cruise Shiploading and was the first to put himself forward for additional hours when the business needed him.
