Managing director, Nicola Ridges-Jones, has been invited to join the supervisory board of the UKWA (United Kingdom Warehousing Association).
The UKWA is Britain’s leading trade organisation, representing the third-party logistics sector. It is chaired by Tony Mohan, of Bibby Distribution. It has over 650 member companies, operating nearly 10 million square metres of warehousing from around 2000 depots across the UK.
Its principal objectives are to represent members’ views to government departments and agencies, the European Commission and Parliament; to promote the warehousing and logistics industry; to protect the interests of the member company through the provision of effective Conditions of Contract; and to raise the standards of the industry through training and best practice.
Nicola said: “I am thrilled to join the supervisory board of the UKWA and look forward to helping it protect the interests and represent the views of its members’ companies, promoting best practice in the logistics industry and supporting other member companies in the development of their businesses.”
